The
newest addition to our quality line of EAS systems is

décor. The Glass Menhir is both stylish and
versatile, in addition, it is powered by the same
advanced, fully digital PC Boards our customers have
enjoyed with the Universal System (see
our Universal System page).
The
Mini Tag™
Our
Mini Tag is a standard, 8.2 MHz industry tag. This
Tag, reliable and economically priced, these tags can
be used in conjunction with any radio-frequency (RF)
systems or tags on the market.
•
The Mini Tag at 47 mm (1.8") in length and 41 mm
(1.6") in width will allow a 4.5' (1.4 m)
distance between pedestals.
• The
Mini Tag is made standard with black or medium gray
colored plastic.
We
can also offer the Mini Tag with our new SuperLock,
which is an extra strong lock that can be put inside
any of the Hard Tags we offer. This special Lock is
80% stronger than the standard locks found in other
Hard Tags on the market. Naturally, when a lock is 80%
stronger, it is much more difficult for a shoplifter
to remove the Pin from the Tag. Special detachers for
removing the Super Lock equipped tags are also
available.
The flash of a red light and a beep
indicates deactivation of a Universal Label. The
Universal Deactivator is an instrument used to
deactivate the adhesive labels at the point of sale so
that a customer's item or items may leave the store
without being detected by the Electronic Article
Surveillance (EAS) System located at the store's exit.
This Deactivator is composed of two units; a detector
and a deactivator. To avoid the noise signals, which
other deactivators can be influenced by, the Universal
II Deactivator is only deactivating when it has to;
when a Label is detected.
A low power transceiver detects a Label when it enters
the detection area. A signal is then sent to the
deactivation unit, which will then send out a
deactivation signal. Ultimately, the deactivation
signal deactivates the Label in 2 micro seconds. The
Deactivator beeps upon detecting and deactivating the
label, although, if desired the beep may be silent.
Depending upon store conditions, the Deactivator can
be placed as close as 2.5 m away from the transmitter
of the Universal System. However, the Deactivator can
be placed closer to the system by slaving the
deactivator's transmitter to the system's transmitter.

The
Universal Labels are paper thin, self-adhesive tags
that are used to protect any type of non-metallic,
hard goods item.
These simple to attach Labels serve as
excellent protection for film, video tapes, books,
cosmetics, and pharmaceutical items.
In addition, they can be used in conjunction
with our security cases for CD and cassette
protection. The
Universal Labels come in plain white, for custom
printing, or with a simulated bar-code, to deceive
shoplifters. They
can also be used for source tagging, which is the
process of embedding labels inside of retail
merchandise at the point of manufacture or packaging.
At the point-of-sale the Labels are quickly and
permanently deactivated with the use of a Deactivator
(see Universal Deactivator).
